This Week Is Off / January 3 Ideas

Hey Studio People -

This week The Studio is taking Thursday off (December 27). I would like to think it is because the mighty Texas Longhorns are playing in the Holiday Bowl. However, it is more because the group is out of town.

Our next meeting is The Studio 2008 Launch. I want to do something different, but meaningful. If you have some ideas, post them and we'll see how creative you guys can be.

This Thursday, December 13

The Studio will meet at Glen Oak Clubhouse this Thursday at 7 p.m. for Bible study and worship, led by Pastor David and Matt Underwood.

Don't forget! This coming Monday is The Studio Christmas Party at 7 p.m. at the Driver home. Bring a dessert and soda to share. Directions coming by e-mail.

The Studio Gathering // This Thursday

This Thursday, December 6, The Studio Gathering will meet at the Glen Oak Clubhouse at 7 p.m. for worship and Bible study.

Our Christmas party is coming up! It will be Monday, December 17 at 7 p.m.

The Studio This Thursday, Nov. 29

The Studio will meet at the Glen Oak Clubhouse at 7 p.m. for bible study and worship.

There are plans in the works for a Studio Christmas party. Stay tuned!

This Week @ The Studio (Nov. 15)

Outreach & El Rey's

The Studio will participate in the Gallatin Outreach at the Fireplace Fellowship at 6 p.m. Many hands make light work!

Afterward, we'll head over to El Rey's for chips and salsa, tacos and nachos, etc.

Next week is Thanksgiving so The Studio will not meet. Enjoy the holiday with family and friends!

This Week: Thursday, November 8

The Studio will meet at the Glenbrook Starbucks off Exit 6 at 7:30 p.m. (Note the time is 7:30, not 7, this week.)

Liz Kirk will lead the group in a Bible study from 7:30 to approx. 8:30. Bring a verse to share.

At 8:30, those interested will carpool down to 12th and Porter for a CD release show featuring some Christian acts including a band called Broken Frame and solo artists Nathan Walters. The cost will be $10 at the door. If no one is interested, there is no pressure to go.

Next week: The Studio will participate in the Gallatin Outreach at the Fireplace Fellowship at 6 p.m.

Andy Kirk will be leading worship and Jackie Chapman will lead a Bible study/discussion.

This Week @ The Studio

It's a week full of fall!

Thursday, October 25:
The Studio will carve pumpkins, watch football and (perhaps) order pizza at 7 o'clock on Thursday at Glen Oaks Clubhouse.

Friday, October 26:
The Studio Costume Party at 7 p.m. at Jennifer Mercer's condo. Get your costume ready and bring a drink and snack to share. Prizes for best girl's and guy's costume!

Directions to Jennifer's:
From Hendersonville, take a right off 31E onto Cages Bend Rd. From Gallatin, take a left off 31E onto Cages Bend Rd. Go straight 3 miles. You will pass the United Methodist Church on the left, and soon after you will take a right onto Lake Grassland Rd. (It will also read Tanasi Shores.) Stay to the left and the pool is right in front of Jennifer’s condo, #161.

The Studio is participating in the Gallatin Outreach this week.

Meet at the Fireplace Fellowship in Gallatin at 6 p.m.

We'll go next door to El Rey's afterward.

Studio B: This Thursday, Oct. 11

Well, the corn maze is a no-go. One doesn't exist, one is lame, and the third is over an hour away. Sorry.

Who likes P.F. Chang's? How about Pei Wei Asian Diner?

It's by P.F. Chang's China Bistro. It's new in Green Hills.

Then there's always Maggie Moo's around the corner....

Meet at Glen Oaks Clubhouse to carpool at 7:00.

Costume Party

The Studio This Thursday, Oct. 4

The Studio Gathering (A & B) will be meeting at the Glen Oak Clubhouse this Thursday, October 4, at 7 p.m.

Come join us for a time of worship and thoughts on the Word.

Studio A: Sept. 27 / Cook-out

Studio A: It's now officially Fall so what better way to celebrate than with a cook-out.

The cook-out starts at 7:30 at David and Margie's in Hendersonville. Need directions? Let us know.

Studio B: Sept. 27 / "The Office"

Studio B will meet at Aaron and Beth's in Hendersonville for the season premiere of "The Office." The doors will open at 7; the show starts at 8. Brings drinks and snacks to share.

Outreach & El Rey's

The Studio (Both A & B) will be participating in the Gallatin Outreach this Thursday, Sept. 20.

Meet in the parking lot of Fireplace Fellowship at 6 p.m. to help set-up and serve dinner. Fireplace Fellowship is down past the downtown Gallatin Square, across the street from Arby's and Captain D's.

Afterward, we'll walk next door to El Rey's for some Mexican food.

Studio B leadership will meet with Jackie at El Rey's.

Start Thinking!

The Studio Costume Party will be Friday, October 26, at 7 p.m. at Jennifer Mercer's condo in Gallatin.

Party plans are underway so start thinking about your costume - prizes to the best guy's and girl's costume.

Last year's winners...can you beat them?

Studio B: Thursday, Sept. 13

Studio B (24-30s): Meet at the NGC Theatre in Gallatin (behind Publix on 31E) for the 6:50 showing of "3:10 to Yuma" with Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. Well, they're in the movie - they won't actually be joining The Studio for the movie.

Studio A: Thursday, Sept. 13

Studio A (18-23): Meet at Pastor Aaron and Beth's home in Hendersonville at 7:30 p.m.

P.A. and B's home is located at 348 N. Birchwood, just down the street and around the corner from the Glen Oaks Clubhouse. After you pass the clubhouse, the road comes to a "T" intersection. Turn left onto N. Birchwood and go a few hundred feet to 348 (it's on the right).

Studio B: The Office Premieres Sept. 27

The new season of "The Office" premieres September 27!

Studio B will be meeting at Pastor Aaron and Beth's house for the happy reunion. They have a DVR just in case we need to rewind and laugh at Michael Scott or Dwight K. Schrute over and over again....
